Celebrating our Recent Partnership with CHOC this Thanksgiving

On November 10, 2019 the Founders and Team Members of the Zachary Woodard Foundation, a non-profit organization, met to celebrate the coming together of many recent projects. For starters, the Zachary Woodard Foundation has recently partnered with the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). This partnership will allow children receiving care for severe illness or disability, including myotubular myopathy, to receive a LightzOfHope Disco Ball to encourage them and bring a cheery atmosphere to their rooms during their stay. A few of our many hospital volunteers will joyfully deliver the lightz.

Another huge success is the announcement that our LightzOfHope packaging materials are in transit and our logo is in its final stage of completion as well. We are only moments away from having our Disco Balls packaged and ready to deliver to numerous children and families throughout Orange County and other areas who wish to receive them. Which leads us to the most exciting news of all… Our website is LIVE!! In fact, any hospital child and/or family who wishes to be a Recipient of our LightzOfHope Speaker DIsco Balls may now register to have one sent to them via the Recipient link on our website. Head on over to www.zacharywoodardoundation.org to gain insight on our Founders, Zachary’s Family, and our radiant Teammates, who consist of Zachary’s teachers, friends, their parents, and gracious volunteers.

We used our recent visit to CHOC as an opportunity to get headshots, test out our disco balls, and celebrate the commencement of our recent partnership with CHOC. All in time to give thanks for these many achievements on Thanksgiving Day. A day we will use to remember and appreciate the fond memories we have of our dear Zachary that will forever live on in our hearts and the lives that will be touched through the Zachary Woodard Foundation.

We wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving and hope you take the opportunity to slow down and give thanks for the blessings that each and every one of us have. We are reminded of a quote from Mr. Rogers which he gave in response to a question about how to find joy and peace amidst life’s up and downs. Mr. Rogers response was to “look for the helpers”.

We urge you to take this time to really think about all that you have to be grateful for. And if you have taken the time to read our blog or take a look at our website, know that we are grateful for YOU!
